Chess in D&D

If you want to give dramatic tension to chess (or dragonchess) in your D&D games, you can use these simple optional rules. 

When characters match wits over a game of chess, they make real strategic decisions and try to coax each other into traps. A game of chess takes place over three tense but short rounds. Will you play to win? Or play to psychologically dissect your opponent?
